Wotton House Equestrian Team competed at their first NSEA event this weekend, with Chloe Cook competing in the show jumping at Rectory Farm on her pony, Lowden Mariner. Preparation was tough and went on late into Friday night, tack was cleaned and the pony was polished! The smart new saddle-cloth was carefully packed up into the car along with all manner of things from hairnets to shoe polish and even a sewing kit!
This was Chloe’s first show jumping competition and she did the school proud; going clear in both of her classes. There was tough competition on the day and Chloe initially looked like she might have won - but due to a tie-break situation she came nineth in her first class - she was still delighted as there were around fifty competitors. Chloe also scored respectably in her second class, but was unfortunately just out of the rosettes this time. Well done to Chloe and Lowden Mariner for representing Wotton House and looking so smart on the day! Do speak to Emma Edwards if you would be interested in joining the team! emma.edwards@iveuk.com
