Gloucestershire International School is a secondary school teaching an international curriculum with a strong focus on technology, creativity and outdoor activities.
GIS opened in September 2016 and is subject to inspection by, among others, the International Baccalaureate (IB), and the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (OfSTED).
Our outdoor education provision is inspected by many organisations, including AHOEC and the AALS. To view our latest inspection reports, please see below.
Parent View gives you the chance to tell OfSTED what you think about our school, from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. You can complete the survey at any time; you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.Go to Parent View
Jack Ma: "If we do not change the way we teach, 30 years from now we will be in trouble. Teachers much stop teaching knowledge, they have to teach something unique so that a machine can never catch up. These are the soft skills: values, believing, independent thinking, teamwork, care for others. These "soft parts" are also in sports, music, painting, art... to make sure humans are different. Everything we teach should be different from machines" (see the original video)Ofsted Progress Monitoring Report - September 2018Ofsted Inspection - November 2017Wilderness Centre - AALS Licensing ReportLetter from a Parent (29th January 2018)Letter from a Parent (1st February 2018)
