MYP2 to M-Shed, Bristol

MYP 2 went on a road trip this week to Bristol in pursuit of their exploration of exploration.

Our first stop was the Matthew, a replica of John Cabot’s ship in which he set off from Bristol in 1497 searching for a westward route to Asia.

We then navigated ourselves the 20 metres or so to M Shed for a workshop on the trade in enslaved Africans. A thought provoking, sobering and informative event about the Columbian Exchange, the repercussions of which prevail to this day, particularly so in Bristol.
